Carmen entered the fashion industry as a model at the age of 15. Her modelling career sparked an obsession with photography, and the years spent in front of the lenses of the world’s top fashion photographers set the foundations in developing her keen eye.

 

Originally from Mexico City, Carmen studied photography in London, where she mastered the technical and creative aspects of the art. She further honed her skills working alongside some highly acclaimed photographers, such as Nick Fallowfield Cooper.

 

Carmen is highly adept at guiding and directing the models and subjects of her shoots. The resulting images capture the essence of the concept and are alive with the dynamic connection that exists between her and her subjects.

 

Carmen has worked for clients such as Schwarzkopf, African Luxury Brands and Nando’s UK, and has exhibited her personal work in the Truman Brewery Gallery in Shoreditch (London) and the Exposure Gallery, in Woodstock (Cape Town), amongst others.
